Why Facebook Wants to Get Inside Your Brain
(Sydney Morning Herald) – If Mark Zuckerberg’s ability to realize his dreams continues unabated, we will all be communicating via ESP before long.
“One day, I believe we’ll be able to send full, rich thoughts to each other directly using technology,” the 31-year-old Facebook chief executive told a public Q&A forum this week.
The comment had a mixed reception. Many detractors scoffed but others tipped a future direction for the company.
At the very least, the quip was emblematic of the company’s boundless ambition.
Over the past decade, Facebook has ceased to be just a “social network”, adding and honing a never-ending array of features to make itself indispensable to users.
