Showtime Standalone Video Service Coming to Roku and Sony PlayStation Vue

(USA Today) — Showtime’s new standalone Net video offering will be hitting Roku set-top boxes and Sony’s PlayStation Vue service next month -— at the same time as it does on Apple devices.

The CBS-owned premium network last week announced that the new service, simply called Showtime, will cost $10.99 monthly and would be available in July on Apple TV and other Apple devices including iPhones and iPads, as well as on computers on Showtime.com. However, CBS CEO Les Moonves and Showtime chairman and CEO Matt Blank said additional platforms would be announced.
