Queasy Reading: Shanghai Gov’t Shuts Down McDonald’s, KFC Meat Supplier

(Forbes.com)—The Shanghai Food and Drug Administration last night reportedly shut down a factory that supplies meat to McDonald’s and KFC after a television station said it used out-of-date chicken.
An undercover reporter posing as a worker at a local arm of U.S.-based supplier OSI filmed colleagues combining expired meat with fresh cuts and then lying to McDonald’s inspectors, the government-published Shanghai Daily reported today.
