Soul Train Awards: Tisha Campbell Talks Divorce; Responds to Pastor John Gray

The Soul Train Awards airs Sunday, November 25 on BET at 8/7C.  Hosted by Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold, trust you are in for a treat! It was like watching another episode of Martin.

Honoring Erykah Badu with the Legend Award and Faith Evans with the Lady of Soul Award, we were in the Orleans Arena rockin’ out. With performances by Bev Biv Devoe, Jon B, and Donnell Jones, babbbiiieeeee, they took us back to the 90’s.

While attending the show, we had a chance to catch up with Pam, AKA Tisha Campbell. The newly single mother looked AH-MAZING and was rockin’ that look, chile. The 50-year old talked life after divorce, becoming a single mother, and women being whole.

On what keeps her grounded, since her divorce from actor Duane Martin:

What keeps me grounded are my children. Making sure they know they have a mom and father who loves them no matter what. Being a single parent is a new world for me and is hard for me to take in sometimes. I never thought this would be my life but it is. I’m glad these two beautiful boys came from something special.

On Pastor John Gray’s comments and Black women must carry men rhetoric:

Don’t forget yourself. I still think God would want you to put yourself first. If you are not fed and drinking from the well you cannot give to others. I don’t care if it’s your work, kids, or your husband.

Baby, Black women are not responsible for a man’s healing. Go to therapy, bruh.
