Raiders Johnathan Hankins and Swords to Plowshares Host Lunch for 100 Homeless Veterans in Oakland
OAKLAND POST — Oakland Raiders Defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins and his wife, Audrey, supported Swords to Plowshares annual Holiday Luncheon for Veterans this year by providing 100 free, hot lunches.

Oakland Raiders Defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins and his wife, Audrey, supported Swords to Plowshares annual Holiday Luncheon for Veterans this year by providing 100 free, hot lunches.
The special event also provided homeless Veterans with backpacks filled with supplies and an opportunity to enjoy some holiday cheer.
It is extremely important to the Hankins to give back to veterans and it has become a mission of theirs to collaborate with organizations like Swords to Plowshares to ensure that, especially during the holidays, veterans in their community have a place to go to receive a hot meal and gratitude for their service.
The event took place Tuesday at the Swords to Plow shares Oakland office at 2719 Telegraph Ave.
Hankins, a defensive tackle, signed a one-year contract with the Raiders this year. Now 26, he was drafted by the New York Giants out of Ohio State in 2013 and also formerly played for the Indianapolis Colts.
Hankins was available for interviews after the event where volunteers gathered to ensure an amazing event filled with smiles and great food.
