JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (USA Today) — Duval County Circuit Court Judge James Daniel has made a major ruling in the high-profile retrial of a Jacksonville woman.

According to online court records, Daniel on Friday, July 18 issued an order denying a supplemental evidentiary hearing on “Stand Your Ground” immunity for Marissa Alexander, 33.

Alexander is out of jail on bond facing three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her previous conviction on the charges was overturned on appeal before she was ordered released on home detention.
