#FIYAH! — LIVESTREAM FRI. 6.26.20 10:30AM ET — DERRICK JOHNSON, NAACP PRESIDENT AND CEO
A longstanding member and leader of the NAACP, Derrick Johnson is guiding the Association through a period of re-envisioning and reinvigoration.
Johnson is a veteran activist with a long history of working to defend the rights and improve the lives of African Americans. However, as Americans of all types find ourselves facing challenges in every segment of our lives, the NAACP’s mission and relevance depend on the organization’s ability to energize young people — and re-energize older Americans.
In light of the international engagement and recognition of the modern day struggle for human rights for African Americans (a 400+ year-old modern day struggle), how has the NAACP evolved to confront these new — and enduring — challenges?
