African American Senators Push First Federal Lynching Bill Through U.S. Senate

NNPA NEWSWIRE — “HISTORIC NEWS: the anti-lynching bill I introduced with @CoryBooker & @SenatorTimScott just passed the Senate unanimously. Congress has tried and failed nearly 200 times to make lynching a federal crime,” wrote Senator Kamala Harris from her twitter account on December 20.
