Police Seek Public’s Help in Solving Murder of Richmond Woman

The Richmond Police Department is assisting the Vallejo Police Department in trying to find anyone with information on the murder of Richmond resident Dayna Jones in Vallejo.

Jones, 41, was found murdered on Jan. 18, 2023, in the water of a marshy area in the 200 block of Wilson Avenue (River Park) in Vallejo, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection to Jones’ death and the motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide remain under investigation, police said.

The Vallejo Police Department is asking for information from anyone who may have seen Jones from Jan. 3 through Jan. 18, 2023.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Det. Stephanie McDonough at (707) 648-5425 or Det. Corporal Ken Jackson at (707) 648-4280.
