TORONTO (The Toronto Sun) — Hundreds assembled in Toronto Saturday to show solidarity with protesters in Baltimore.

Around 400 people gathered in front of Toronto Police headquarters on College St., near Yonge St. for a demonstration organized by the Black Lives Matter – Toronto coalition.

Several rally-goers held up signs saying “Don’t let them get away with murder” and “Stop carding now” as five police officers looked on from the front steps of the building. Chants of “Black lives matter!” and “No justice, no peace, no racist police” briefly filled the air.

A moment of silence was held for Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man who died after suffering a serious injury under police custody in Baltimore last month.
