Disney Races Promote Family Fun

According to runningUSA.org, The Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, considered to be one of the largest race weekends in the country, drives more than 100,000 runners and spectators to the Central Florida Area. runDisney events provide runners the unique opportunity to run through Disney Parks and Resorts, earn Disney-themed finisher medals, experience Disney’s world-famous entertainment and guest service, and ultimately celebrate their accomplishments with a Disney vacation. runDisney race destinations include Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disney’s private Bahamian island Castaway Cay, and Disneyland Paris.  

More than 168,000 runners from across the country and around the world participate in runDisney events each race season. In 2018, there were five race weekends.

While more challenging events like a marathon or half marathon races headline each runDisney weekend, families can also participate in 5Ks, 10Ks, kids races, and health and fitness expos with guest speakers, product demonstrations and official race merchandise.
