There have been many rumors swirling around recently regarding the marriage of the entertainment power couple of Jay Z and Beyonce’.

Now, months after the reported incident in which her sister Solange’ attacked her husband in a New York City elevator, the pop star finally addresses the situation, according to The Daily Beast.

Well, kind of.

On Saturday night Bey surprise-dropped the remix of her hit Flawless. The track features Beyoncé in rare form, offering up the controversial line “We escalate up in this bitch like elevators / Of course sometimes shit goes down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator,” an allusion to the fact that Bey and Jay’s net worth is an estimated billion dollars. Now picture Beyoncé spitting that line at all the haters and rumor mongers, all while executing a middle finger up, Single Ladies-style sassy hand wave.

Jay Z and Solange released a press release after the incident, but the family has been relatively hush-hush about the situation. That was, until this song lyric was dropped. Either way, Beyonce’ took to her craft to voice some aspect of her thoughts, even if it’s a snippet, and her fans have been clamoring since.
