The 2026 Mazda CX-90 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus has a total MSRP of $58,900, and in this AutoNetwork Advisor review I look at the things I would want to know before spending that kind of money.
This CX-90 is finished in Deep Crystal Blue Mica with White Premium Leather. It is powered by an e-SKYACTIV G 3.3-liter turbo engine rated at 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque with premium gasoline. It also has M Hybrid Boost, i-ACTIV AWD, an 8-speed automatic transmission, Sport, Off-Road, and Towing drive modes, plus a 5,000-pound towing capacity.
But this review is not just about specifications.
I look at how easy the CX-90 is to get in and out of, especially for older drivers. The ride height makes entry and exit simple because you do not have to pull your body up or lower yourself far down into the seat.
I also cover the things I liked, including the strong power, upscale interior feel, good visibility, heated and ventilated seating, 12.3-inch displays, Bose 12-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 360-degree camera system.
I also point out the things I would check carefully before buying. These include the short seat cushion, glare, the light-colored fake wood look on the center console, the fake cloth look on the dashboard, low-speed transmission smoothness, firm ride quality, third-row usefulness for adults, and cargo space when all rows are being used.
The CX-90 is rated at 23 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined.
Before you buy, ask yourself three questions: Who will really use the third row? Do you like the way the vehicle rides and shifts at low speeds? And are you paying for this trim because you need its features, or because it happens to be the one on the dealer lot?
