GARISSA, Kenya (International Business Times)—After the Al-Shabaab attack on Kenya’s Garissa University left 148 students dead last Thursday, Twitterati have taken it upon themselves to ensure the victims are remembered, by trending the hashtag #147notjustanumber.
Under the hashtag, friends and relatives are sharing photos of the victims on Twitter, as the nation mourns the deadliest attack on its soil since the 1998 bombing at the US embassy in Nairobi.
Four terrorists stormed into the hostels of Garissa University on Thursday morning, gunning down nearly 150 students and staff, before they were shot dead by armed forces.
