2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 Performance Calligraphy 360 Interior

Is the 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 a family EV workhorse or showroom floor fantasy? We take the top-trim Calligraphy for a spin to find out.

2026 Hyundai Ioniq 9 Calligraphy interior 360 view, performance features

The 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 AWD Performance Calligraphy is Hyundai’s flagship three-row electric SUV, and this build stickers at $77,335 in Cyber Gray over a Dark Green interior. In this review, we put real seat time into the top-trim Calligraphy to answer one question: does it work as a genuine family EV, or does it fall apart once you leave the showroom floor?
This Performance Calligraphy trim pairs dual electric motors with HTRAC all-wheel drive, backed by a lithium-ion battery system with DC ultra-fast charging capability. Standard features include 21-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, H-Tex trimmed heated and ventilated front seats with ergo motion and memory, heated and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, power-folding third row, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, head-up display, surround view monitor, and Hyundai’s full advanced safety suite including Highway Driving Assist and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
We cover what stood out during real-world testing — including genuinely useful turn signal cameras, a standout supportive driver’s seat, and excellent ride quality even over rough pavement and railroad tracks. We also break down a real home-charging issue we ran into, glare on the front windshield, sporadic speed limit sign reading, B-pillar blind spots, and a captain’s chair seat control that doesn’t move far enough forward for easy entry.
Whether you’re cross-shopping three-row EVs or specifically considering the IONIQ 9 Calligraphy, this video covers the full MSRP breakdown, standard features, real-world pros and cons, and negotiating tips before you step into the dealership.
Backed by America’s Best Warranty: 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain and EV system coverage. CARB certified Zero Emission Vehicle, legal in all 50 states.

2026 Defender 130 X Is It Worth $110,110 for Your Family?

Is the $110K Defender 130 X the ultimate family SUV? Roosevelt dives into its comfort, capability, and whether it’s truly worth the price.

Is the 2026 Defender 130 X worth $110,110 for your family?
Roosevelt examines the comfort, capability, and everyday compromises that matter before you buy this luxury SUV.
Finished in Gondwana Stone with an Ebony Windsor leather interior, this Defender brings a distinctive look and a substantial price. Its 3.0-liter six-cylinder mild-hybrid engine produces 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
My driving impressions include good acceleration, a comfortable and supportive driver’s seat, and good ride quality. However, I also noticed wind noise around the windshield pillar and outside mirror. A highway test drive deserves a place on your shopping checklist.
Inside, we examine the optional second-row captain’s chairs, passenger access, third-row seating, and usable cargo space. The third row does not fold into a flat floor, so bring your stroller, luggage or measurements when evaluating whether this Defender fits your needs.
Getting in and out also deserves attention. The vehicle sits high, and its grab handles may not solve the entry challenge for every passenger. I explain why your regular passengers should try it before you commit.
We also look at the ClearSight digital rearview mirror, 13.1-inch touchscreen, and parking-camera system. Extended viewing of the digital mirror made me feel dizzy; your experience may differ.
Air suspension, terrain settings, and the listed towing package add capability, but how much will you actually use? With supplied fuel ratings of 16 city, 20 highway, and 18 combined mpg, ownership costs belong in the decision.
Watch for practical checks you can use at the dealership, then tell me: would this Defender fit your daily life?
